A photography website for premium photography
Over at the Connectz offices, we love a new start up. It’s an exciting time for them and that in turn gets us excited when we are trusted with assisting in the launch of a new company or brand, in this case Heather Fairley Photography, of HPF for short.
Working with HFP was extremely easy as being a photographer, she had excellent, high quality content already in place and ready for use on the website. Content is king and when the content is this good, we want to keep the site simple and let the content sing!
The main page portfolio uses web optimised images that look sharp on high definition screens, whilst not actually taking up much memory, keeping the website performing quickly and efficiently for all visitors.

Once wowed by the photography the next aim is to demonstrate a clear call to action and show pricing to prospective customers. We utilised contact forms to forward details to the business email account we created, crafted a few pages of pricing options and added a small eCommerce element to the site so people can purchase certain things directly.
To quickly break down Heathers services, she offers photography in a few distinct areas including newborn, pet, family & wedding photography. Being an experience professional photographer it was clear to see that she would be targeting the premium end of the market.
The quality of the content influenced the design choices we made with the website, opting for a very minimalistic style, with the homepage emphasis being entirely on an interactive portfolio. The second someone lands on the website, they get eyes on the content without distraction.
Heather has learned how to sell her service very efficiently now, utilising a combination of the website & social channels to demonstrate her expertise and grow her fledgling business quickly. If you too are a new start business, talk to us about small business discount packages!
